Turkey Chili

Ingredients

3 pounds ground turkey
2 onions, diced
8 tomatoes, diced
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (10-ounce) can Rotel tomato
2 cups canned kidney beans
2 tablespoons minced garlic
8 ounces fresh mushrooms
splash of Tabasco and Worcestershire sauce
1 package taco seasoning mix
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 (16-ounce) can Budweiser beer
1 - 2 tablespoon chili powder
2 1/2 ounces shredded Lite Line Cheddar cheese (approximately 1 tablespoon for each serving)

Directions:

Brown ground turkey and onions in large pan. Add remaining ingredients (except cheese) to browned mixture. Cook for approximately 2 hours over low heat. Stir every 15–20 minutes. When ready to serve, sprinkle shredded cheese on top.

Note: Chili always tastes better after being refrigerated for 24–36 hours. let those flavors mingle!


Fun Fact: Tomatoes are a natural source of the antioxidant “lycopene,” which may help prevent heart disease. According to scientists, more lycopene is absorbed by the body from cooked tomatoes than from fresh tomatoes.
