Cream butter and sugar; gradually add flour; stir in half the nuts. Chill dough 1 hour. Preheat oven to 325°.
Form 1 tablespoon dough into a 2-inch-long finger. Cut in half length-wise and place cut-side-down on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes or until pale golden brown. Cool. Melt chocolate. Dip 1 end of cookie into chocolate then into chopped nuts. Cool on waxed paper until set.
