Mix the crabmeat, mayonnaise, cream cheese, egg yolk, onion, mustard, and salt together in a bowl. Spread the mixture on the muffin halves. Arrange the halves on a broiler pan and broil 2–3 minutes, until the top is golden brown. Garnish with sliced hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes or avocados, depending on whether it is being served for brunch or lunch.
