Toast the walnuts in a microwave on a microwave-safe plate at full power for 2 to 3 minutes set aside.
Mix the beans, salsa, cumin, five-spice powder, and half of the cilantro in a medium bowl. Season liberally with salt and pepper. Mound on a serving plate and top with the walnuts.
Mix the sour cream, orange juice, and remaining cilantro. Top with the scallion and serve with the pâté, along with crackers or toast.
