Sauté garlic in 1/4 cup margarine; remove garlic and sauté mushrooms. Combine spinach, onion, and remaining margarine. Salt and pepper to taste. Place in a shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with half the cheese. Cover with mushrooms and then sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
