Apple Bars

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1 cup rolled oats
1 1/2 cups peeled, shredded apples
1 cup walnuts, chopped
powdered sugar

Directions:

Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs beat well. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cocoa, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves and add. Add oats, apple, and walnuts. Bake in greased 9 x 13 pan at 375°F for 25 minutes. Cut into bars and roll in powdered sugar.
