Yield: 3 cups
Combine apples, raisins, lemons, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, pinch of cloves, and 1 cup water in large saucepan. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in nuts.
Serve warm or cold.
