Place one tablespoon oil and one tablespoon unpopped popcorn in the center of each aluminum foil square. Gather corners to form pouches. With string, tie corners of each pouch to roasting sticks. Place pouches directly on hot coals and shake often until corn is popped. Carefully open pouches and season to taste with butter and salt.
Tip: To add a new flavor to popped popcorn sprinkle on grated Parmesan cheese, ranch salad dressing mix or cinnamon-sugar.
