Blend flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and butter in food processor until crumbly. Core and peel apples. With a fork, scratch the sides of the apples on all sides and roll in the crumb mixture, packing as much as possible on the sides. Place the apples in a greased baking dish. Combine the granulated sugar, nuts, and jam. Spoon into the cavities of apples. Bake in preheated 350° oven for 45 minutes or until apples are tender and crisp. Serve warm with whipped cream.
