* When serving cold punches, chill punch bowl in the refrigerator about 2 hours before serving. Have all ingredients well chilled before pouring into punch bowl. If using an ice ring, add after punch is in bowl, When serving hot punches, use a heatproof bowl. Pour very warm tap water into punch bowl and let stand for 15 minutes. Remove water and pour hot punch over a spoon set in the bowl to spread out the heat and protect the bowl from cracking. To clean a punch bowl, avoid drastic changes in temperature to keep bowl from cracking. Let a cold punch bowl come to room temperature before washing.
