Easy Roasted Red Pepper Soup

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups frozen chopped onions
2 teaspoons chopped garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes with basil
1 (12-ounce) jar roasted red bell peppers
2 (14 1/2-ounce) cans chicken broth
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/4 teaspoon coarse salt

Directions:

In 4-quart pot, cook onions and garlic in oil 3 minutes, stirring constantly, till crisp-tender. Add remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling, then simmer 15 minutes.
