Sirloin Beef Salad

Ingredients

1 pound top sirloin, cut 1 inch thick
1 1/2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
1 red bell pepper, seeded, halved
1 onion, thickly sliced
1 (12-ounce) package torn romaine lettuce

Bacon Dressing:
3 - 4 strips bacon, fried crisp, crumbled, reserve drippings
1 tablespoon flour
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Season steak with Cajun seasoning. Grill steak, red pepper, and onion 4–6 inches from medium coals, 12–15 minutes, turning once.

Slice steak diagonally into 1/4-inch-thick strips. Slice pepper into thin strips. Arrange steak, peppers, and onion slices over lettuce. Serve with warm Bacon dressing.

Bacon Dressing:
Blend bacon drippings with flour in skillet; add water, vinegar, and sugar; stir constantly. Cook till thickened; salt and pepper to taste; add crumbled bacon.
