Preheat oven to 350°F.
Peel, core, and slice apples. (Or you can chop them, if you prefer). Combine apples, brown sugar, and spices. Adjust the amounts of the spices to your liking.
Pour into a 9 x 13-inch cake pan. Cover with foil. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, until apples are soft.
Serve plain or with ice cream or whipped cream.
