Chicken and Asparagus Casserole

Ingredients

1 pound fresh asparagus spears
1 1/2 cups cooked chicken
1 (10 1/2-ounce) can cream of asparagus soup or cream of mushroom soup
1/3 cup milk
3/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
5 tablespoons bread crumbs

Directions:

In a shallow casserole dish, arrange asparagus on bottom. Spread chicken cubes over asparagus. Combine soup and milk. Pour over chicken. Sprinkle cheese over top. In small bowl melt margarine. Add bread crumbs and stir. Sprinkle over cheese. bake at 450° for 15 minutes or until hot throughout and lightly browned.
