Rub inside of duck cavity with salt. Preheat oven to 350°. Soak citrus rinds in 1/4 cup orange liqueur for at least 30 minutes. Place citrus rinds and onion and some of liqueur into cavity. Roast about 2 1/2 hours or until tender.
In the meantime, dissolve bouillon in 1 cup boiling water in a saucepan. Add remaining 1/4 cup orange liqueur and remaining ingredients. Heat mixture over low heat until thickened. Brush duck with mixture during last half hour of roasting. Heat extra sauce; serve with duck.
