Sauté onion in olive oil in medium saucepan over medium heat about 10 minutes. Stir in spices and honey and cook about 5 minutes more. Add rice. Cook, stirring, about 3–4 more minutes. Add broth/water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and cook at a simmer 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add lentils and cook about 15 more minutes. Toss with chopped parsley.
