Wash chicken. Cut chicken lengthwise into 1-inch-wide strips. Place 1/2 cup flour in a small bowl. Place remaining flour in medium bowl along with baking powder; stir in beer and eggs to form a batter. Dredge chicken strips in flour, then in batter. Deep-fry a few at a time in hot oil, turning to evenly brown on all sides. Salt and pepper to taste. Keep warm until serving.
