Brush muffin cups with melted butter; line each cup with a slice of ham. Pour 1/2 teaspoon maple syrup over each ham slice; top with one pat of butter. Crack one egg into each ham cup; season with salt and pepper as desired. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, or until eggs are set. Remove muffin tin from oven; use a spoon or gently twist each serving to loosen. Serve with toast, on English muffins or on split biscuits.
