Combine biscuit mix, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Stir in applesauce, milk, egg, and oil. Beat vigorously for 30 seconds. Spoon into greased muffin tins. Bake at 400° for about 12 minutes. Remove from tins and dip tops in melted margarine, then in remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
