Preheat oven to 300°. Trim crust from bread. Butter 9x13-inch casserole. Lay 4 slices bread in dish. Place ham slices on top. Top with slices of cheese and more bread. Beat together eggs, milk, mustard, and salt. Pour over bread. Refrigerate overnight. Crush cornflakes and sprinkle over top of casserole. Drizzle with butter. Bake for 1 hour.
