2 cups fruit, mashed
2 cups water
1 package unsweetened punch powder
1 package powdered pectin
Lemon juice from 1 lemon
6 cups sugar
Mix fruit, water, punch powder, pectin, and lemon juice in saucepan. Bring to boil; add sugar and boil 3 minutes. Remove from heat; skim. Pour into sterilized jars; seal and cool.
Variations: Use strawberries with strawberry punch powder; raspberries with raspberry punch powder; peaches with orange punch powder, and so forth. This jam is slightly thin and makes excellent ice cream topping or syrup for pancakes or waffles.
