2 pounds pears chopped or ground
1 1/2 cups crushed pineapple
1 6-ounce jar red maraschino cherries, chopped and drained
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 package powdered pectin
5 cups sugar
Mix pears, pineapple, cherries, lemon juice, and pectin in heavy saucepan and bring to hard boil. Add sugar and bring to boil again. Boil 1 minute. Pour into sterilized jars and seal. Makes 8 half-pints.
