Combine oysters, onion, and 1/2 cup milk and cook over medium heat 15 minutes (Do NOT overcook oysters.) Melt butter and blend in flour and seasonings and rest of milk; cook until thick, stirring constantly. Add Parmesan and parsley and stir well. Add oyster mixture and cook 5 minutes. Serve over lightly toasted and buttered muffins, toast points or patty shells. You may also serve oysters in a chafing dish for added elegance.
