Sweet ‘n’ Sour Sauce

Ingredients

1/2 cup pineapple juice
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon powdered ginger
1/4 green pepper , chopped
1 (9-ounce) can pineapple tidbit , undrained

Directions:

Combine all ingredients except undrained pineapple tidbits and green pepper in a blender. Blend until mixed. Pour mixture into saucepan and add peppers and pineapple. Cook over moderate heat until thick and clear. Serve over roast lean pork or poultry.

Editor's Extra: Buy a large can of pineapple so you’ll have enough pineapple juice—serve the extra pineapple with your stir fry.
