Spanish Rice #2

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef
6 slices bacon
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
1/4 cup long grain rice, uncooked
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup ketchup
1 (16-ounce) can stewed tomatoes, undrained, chopped
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce

Directions:

Cook ground beef into skillet until brown. Remove then add bacon to skillet and cook until crisp remove reserve 2 tbsp drippings. Add onion green pepper, and long grain rice. Add salt, pepper, catsup, tomatoes, and tomato sauce. Stir in beef and bacon, crumbled. Simmer 35 minutes or until rice is done.
