The Extraordinary Bagel Sandwich

Ingredients

lunch meat - ham, turkey, beef or other
preferred type of sliced cheese
sliced tomato - romas are best
sliced sweet onion
lettuce
pickles
"Santa Barbara Tangy Apple" salsa
very large baggy, or use foil

Directions:

At Home:
1. To ensure freshness and to prevent sogginess, assembly is key. Careful construction 'waterproofs' the bagel against moisture of condiments and ingredients.

2. Onto 1/2 of each bagel, place your choice of lunch meat and top with slice of preferred cheese and “Santa Barbara Tangy Apple Salsa”.

3. Onto second 1/2 of the bagel, place lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles (some prefer pickles on the side so place in separate baggie).

4. Put bagel halves together and place into Ziploc bags or foil for a yummy treat on trail.

Fun Fact: Purple or blackish seeds on grasses may be indicative of a toxic fungus.
