Combine chocolate chips and 6 cubes (12 ounces) of the almond bark in a 2-quart microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 3 1/2–4 1/2 minutes at MEDIUM-HIGH (70%), stirring twice. (Remember, the chips and bark will look soft and shiny but not melted; they will look melted only after stirring.) Stir until smooth.
Stir in peanuts, marshmallows, and cereal. Spread into a buttered 12-inch pizza pan. Sprinkle red and green cherries and almonds over the chocolate-cereal mixture. Microwave remaining 2 cubes (4 ounces) of white almond bark in a microwave-safe bowl for 1–1 1/2 minutes at MEDIUM-HIGH (70%). Stir until smooth. Drizzle over the mixture in the pan. Chill slightly until firm. Cut into wedges. Enjoy!
Fun Fact: Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, is the oldest active U.S. Army post west of the Mississippi River, in operation for over 170 years. During the country’s westward expansion, Fort Leavenworth was a stop for thousands of soldiers, surveyors, immigrants, American Indians, preachers, and settlers who passed through. The fort occupies 5,600 acres and supports 1,000 buildings and 1,500 quarters, including a 213-acre National Historic Landmark District, which was established in 1974. Fort Leavenworth also accommodates the Department of Defense’s only maximum security prison, the United States Disciplinary Barracks. The nearby city of Leavenworth is the oldest city in Kansas, founded in 1854.
