Squeeze the limes, being certain to get all the flesh plus the juice. Measure and use only 1/2 cup juice. Reserve the rest. Prepare the glasses. If salt is desired, rub one of the lime rinds around the top rim of each glass. Crunch the glasses into the salt and place in the freezer, allowing at least 30 minutes to frost.
Meanwhile, prepare the margaritas by placing the lime juice, triple sec, tequila, and egg white in the blender. Add enough ice to fill the blender about halfway.
Process. If the texture is not slushy enough, add ice to get the desired texture. Taste and add more triple sec if not sweet enough. Serve in the frosted glasses, either straight up or over ice.
Note: You can freeze leftover margaritas for at least a month.
