Shrimp and Beef Filet Brochettes with Sesame Marinade

Ingredients

1 cup peanut oil
1/2 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
3 pounds filets of beef, cut into 1-inch cubes
45 medium shrimp, shelled and, if desired, deveined
16 bamboo skewers

Directions:

In a bowl, whisk together the oil, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, sesame seeds, garlic, and ginger. Set aside. On each skewer, alternate 4 pieces of beef with 2 or 3 shrimp. Place in a roasting pan in one layer. Pour marinade over and let sit for 5 minutes. Grill over medium- hot coals for 4 minutes on each side or until the shrimp turn pink.
