Blend together butter and brown sugar or honey. Add eggs; mix well. Stir in oats, baking powder, salt, milk and fruit or nuts, if using. Pour into a greased 8"x8" baking pan; bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with applesauce, honey or maple syrup.
Tip: Serve up sweet memories…bring out Grandma's vintage toast rack and jelly dish to use on the breakfast table.
