Place ribs in roasting pan in preheated 350° F oven and bake for 30 minutes. Prepare the sauce.
In a 1-quart saucepan combine all ingredients and bring to boil. Simmer, covered, for 5 minutes or until of brushing consistency. Arrange ribs on greased grill over hot coals. Brush with some of the barbecue sauce. Lower grill hood and grill 15 minutes turn ribs brushing both sides with additional sauce. Lower hood and grill an additional 15 minutes, basting frequently. Heat remaining sauce to pass with ribs.
Note: Place about 2 cups fruit wood or hickory chips, that have been soaked in water at least 1/2 hour, on coals just before cooking for an appetizing smoky flavor.
