2/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup water
1/4 cup butter real, cut in pieces
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg ground
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon ground
In a small saucepan combine sugar and cornstarch; stir in water. Stirring over medium heat, bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat.
Add butter, vanilla and spices; blend well. Serve hot with Suet Pudding or over fruitcake slices.
