1. Preheat the oven to 350°. Put the walnuts in a medium bowl. Mix in the brown sugar, raisins, cinnamon, orange juice, and vanilla.
2. Peel the bananas. Cut lengthwise in half, and place them close together, cut side up, on a foil-lined baking sheet. Top the bananas evenly with the nut-raisin mixture. Drizzle the butter over all. Cover with another sheet of aluminum foil. Seal tightly. Bake 25 minutes, or until the bananas are soft and the sauce bubbles. Serve warm on dessert plates with ice cream.
