Ingredients

3 tablespoons orange juice
3/4 cup raisins
1/2 cup margarine, at room temperature
3/4 cup sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons grated orange peel
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
9 ounces (1 1/2 boxes) Nestle Toll Hose Premier White Baking Bars

Directions:

In a small bowl, combine orange juice and raisins. Let stand several hours or overnight. In a large bowl, beat margarine and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg and orange peel. In another bowl, combine flour and baking soda; stir into butter mixture. Add raisins, any soaking liquid that may be left in bowl, and oats. Mix well.

Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart; flatten slightly. Bake at 350° for 10–12 minutes. Transfer to racks and cool completely.

Follow melting directions on box of white chocolate, using either microwave or double boiler method. When cookies are completely cool, dip 1/3 of cookie in white chocolate. Set on waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Chill until chocolate is firm.

Fun Fact: A glacier is an accumulation of ice, snow, water, rock, and sediment that moves under the influence of gravity. The density of ice causes it to absorb all light and reflect only blue, thus giving glaciers their blue/white appearance. Alaska has more than 100,000 glaciers covering approximately 30,000 square miles of land—5% of the state. The longest glacier in Alaska is the Bering Glacier at more than 100 miles long. The largest glacier is the Malaspina Glacier at 850 square miles. Washington contains more glaciers than the other 47 contiguous states combined.
