Preheat oven to 325°. Place breasts in 9x13-inch casserole, and pour melted butter over them. Broil until medium brown. Soak cherries in sherry at least 1 hour and set aside. Combine remaining ingredients, and pour over chicken. Cover with foil and bake 1 hour. Remove foil, and add cherries and some of the sherry. Bake 15 minutes longer.
