Melt butter and stir in the flour, mustard, salt, pepper, and milk. Cook and stir until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in the cheese; set aside. Arrange layers of noodles, chicken, and broccoli (cut into 1-inch pieces, reserving florets) in a 2-quart casserole dish. Pour cheese sauce over layered ingredients; arrange broccoli florets on top, and sprinkle with the almonds. Bake 20 minutes at 350°. Can be made ahead.
