Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add 7-up. Pour into 9-inch square dish. Chill until thickened. Drain pineapple, reserving juice, and stir into gelatin. Add bananas. Chill until set.
Combine sugar, flour, egg and pineapple juice in a saucepan. Cook on medium-high heat until it boils and thickens, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and cool. Whip whipping cream until thick and fold into cooled topping. Spread over salad and sprinkle with cheese.
