Apple Sausage Wagon Wheel Pie

Ingredients

1 (11-ounce) box Betty Crocker Pie Crust Mix
1 (1-pound) package small pork sausage links
1 (20-ounce) can apple pie filling
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375°. Using 1/2 package pie crust mix, make a single pie crust. Fit into a 9-inch pie pan; flute edge and prick bottom and sides with a fork. Bake 10 minutes.

Brown sausage links; drain on paper towels. Spoon pie filling into partially baked pie crust. Place cooked sausage, spoke-fashion, on pie filling. Sprinkle with cheese. Combine remaining 1/2 pie crust mix with brown sugar, and sprinkle over pie. Return to oven and bake about 30 minutes, until crust is golden brown.
