Slow Cooker Cooking Time: 5 to 5 1/2 hours on high or 10 to 11 hours on low
Last-Minute Cooking Time: 3 to 5 minutes under broiler (optional)
1. Trim excess fat from ribs. Place four ribs in a slow cooker.
2. In a medium bowl, stir tomato juice, soy sauce, onion, gingerroot, honey, garlic, coriander, cumin and cloves. Pour half of the mixture over ribs in slow cooker. Add remaining ribs and pour over remaining tomato juice mixture.
3. Cover and cook on high for 5 to 5 1/2 hours or on low for 10 to 11 hours or until very tender.
4. If desired, transfer ribs to a foil-lined jelly roll pan and arrange in a single layer. Baste with cooking liquid. Broil 6 inches from heat source for 3 to 5 minutes or until browned. Baste again with cooking liquid before serving.
Serve with sweet potatoes and fresh pineapple.
