Mix oil, chocolate, and granulated sugar. Blend in 1 egg at a time till well mixed. Add vanilla; stir in flour, baking powder, and salt; chill overnight.
Preheat oven to 350°. Drop dough by teaspoon into confectioners’ sugar—don’t attempt to shape yet. Coat lightly with confectioners’ sugar—this makes it crinkle. Pick up, roll into a ball, and roll again in confectioners’ sugar. Place 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets. Bake 10–12 minutes. Do not overcook. They will be a little soft to the touch.
