Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients

2 (16-ounce) cans french-style green beans, drained
1 (8-ounce) can sliced water chestnut, drained
1 (15-ounce) can bean sprouts, drained
1 (8-ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 medium onion, chopped
1 1/2 (10 3/4-ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 (3 1/2-ounce) can French fried onion rings

Directions:

In a 2-quart casserole layer half beans, water chestnuts, bean sprouts, mushrooms, and onion. Cover with half of soup. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and half of cheese. Repeat layering. Top with French fried onions. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes, covered. Remove cover and bake additional 10 minutes.
