Summertime Tomato & Watermelon Salad

Ingredients

5 cups seeded watermelon, cut into 3/4-inch cubes
2 tomatoes, cut into 3/4 inch cubes
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 small red onion, quartered, thinly sliced
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup oil
chilled lettuce leaves
cracked black pepper to taste

Directions:

Toss watermelon, tomatoes, sugar, and salt gently in large bowl. Let stand 15 minutes; drain. Stir in onion, vinegar, and oil. Cover and chill. Serve on lettuce leaves. Sprinkle with cracked black pepper.
