Combine ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Form into 6 or 7 patties. Broil 4–5 inches from heat. Broil about 8–10 minutes, turn, broil 5–7 minutes. Serve on Roman Meal or white hamburger buns.

Fun Fact: Legend has it that in 1885, Charles R. Nagreen invented the hamburger at Seymour, Wisconsin’s first fair, when he flattened meatballs into patties and served them between bread to make them more portable. The world’s largest hamburger, weighing 5,520 pounds, was grilled at Seymour’s Hamburger Hall of Fame in 1989.
