Arrange chicken in a lightly greased roasting pan; pour cider over all. Place cloves and cinnamon sticks in a square of cheesecloth; tie closed with kitchen string. Add to roasting pan with dried cranberries. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 2 hours, or until juices run clear when chicken is pierced. Add apples and orange to roasting pan; return to oven until orange is warm, about 5 minutes. Garnish servings with slices of orange, if desired.
For Cranberry Cider:
Combine spice mix and juice in a medium saucepan; bring to steaming over medium heat. Stir well.
