Combine 1/2 cup half-and-half and 1/2 cup walnuts in a blender. Blend until almost smooth. Pour mixture into a medium saucepan. Add remaining half-and-half, butter, sage and pepper. Bring just to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. Pour over hot linguine; add ham and toss gently. Sprinkle each serving with parsley and remaining walnuts.
Wrap up a bottle of sparkling cider in style...a thoughtful hostess gift. Use pinking shears to cut a long rectangle from felt. Wrap around the bottle and glue the sides together. Tie it with a ribbon threaded with small jingle bells...perfect!
