Preheat oven to 300°. Cream butter and 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar together. Add vanilla and water. Add flour. Mix well and add chopped pecans. Form small balls, and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 300° for 20–25 minutes or until slightly brown. While still warm, roll in remaining confectioners’ sugar.
