In a medium bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, onions and seasonings. Spread over cut sides of bread. Layer bottom halves of bread with cheese, turkey and tomatoes; top with remaining bread. Slice each sandwich in half. Spray a griddle or large skillet with non-stick vegetable spray. Grill sandwiches for 5 minutes on each side, or until golden and cheese is melted. Slice into serving sizes.
Tip: Put a new spin on picnic sandwiches by using different types of bread…herb loaves, French bread or focaccia. Split small rolls or stuffed pita bread sandwiches are easy for littler hands to hold.
