Broccoli Beef Stir-Fry

Ingredients

1 (.87-ounce) brown gravy mix
1 cup water
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon oil
3 pound beef flank steak, sliced into thin strips
2 cups broccoli, cut into bite-size flowerets
cooked rice or linguine pasta
Optional: soy sauce

Directions:

Whisk together gravy mix, water and pepper in a bowl; set aside. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef strips; cook and stir for 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in broccoli and gravy; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 5 to 8 minutes, or until broccoli is crisp-tender. Serve over cooked rice or pasta, with soy sauce if desired.
