Brown beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat. Drain; stir in tomato sauce and seasonings. Spoon into a slow cooker; place hot dogs on top. Cover and cook on low setting for 5 to 6 hours. To serve, partially split each hot dog down the center; place on a bun and top with some of the beef mixture.
