Preheat flat top griddle on medium high heat. While griddle is heating brush each slice of bread with melted butter.
Place buttered side up on the grill for 1-2 minutes, then flip and cook another few minutes or until golden brown.
As soon as the bread comes off the grill, rub with a clove of garlic.
While bread is still warm, sprinkle with cheese. Serve immediately.
Optional: You could also sprinkle on some fresh chopped herbs.
